Alan Taylor - CEO - Alan Taylor is an award winning radio and TV host, a 30-year broadcast professional and one of the most popular automobile aficionado's in the business. As a founder of Benchmark Entertainment in 1995, Alan pioneered the business of creating radio shows as an extension of the magazines they represent. Benchmark orchestrated innovative partnerships with leading publishers to replicate their content on-air, bringing their brands alive to a much larger audiences. Today, Alan partners with five of the nation’s largest publishing houses, including: Source Interlink Media, Bonnier, and Crain Communications. He is, on behalf of the Entertainment Radio Network, the host of two of the most popular weekend talk shows in radio today:  Motor Trend Radio and Popular Science Radio.

Alan’s expertise and quick wit entertains millions and he has been a featured automotive expert on ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, NBC, the SPEED Channel and others, including over a decade on daytime’s #1 morning talk show, Regis and Kelly. Alan lends his expertise on many car and truck related topics, including: interviews with auto buffs and collectors like Tim Allen and Jay Leno. Alan is also an in-demand guest speaker where his up-beat presentations provide both insight and motivation.

Alan Taylor is on the Board of Directors for Patriot Outreach; an organization focused on providing support to all military service men, women, veterans, retirees, government civilians, battlefield contractors and their families.

John McConnell - President - John is the former SVP in charge of Programming for the ABC Radio Networks and managed programming for ABC Music Radio, ABC News Radio, ABC Talk Radio and the ESPN Radio Network, all of which is heard on 4400 ABC radio affiliates and web sites. He has received numerous broadcast and journalism awards and has been recognized four times by the industry publication Radio and Records as its "News/Talk Executive of the Year."

Mr. McConnell is an executive board member and development chair of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. He is a recipient of the 2006 Avis "We Try Harder" medal, awarded to "individuals who through their courage, overcome extraordinary physical circumstances to participate in the New York Marathon". He is a board member of the Radio Hall of Fame and as a former volunteer for the National Leukemia Society, helped to raise millions of dollars in donations. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University and has trained at the Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation.

John is also President of McConnell Media LLC, a traditional and new media consultancy focused on program development and talent representation for TV, radio, publishing and the web; and has founding positions in several start-up digital technology companies.

Jan Masters - Chief Financial Officer – Jan has been CFO for Benchmark Entertainment since 1995 and has been part of the initial team that launched and created ERN. As CFO, Jan plays an integral part in the operations and management of every aspect of business development. Due to Jan’s responsible fiscal planning, ERN has grown from inception to a thriving network employing 30 staff members and growing. 


Stephanie Carlson - Executive Producer - Stephanie builds and orchestrates ERN’s video and web production departments with the development of new, dynamic digital media. Backed by 15+ years experience and a B.A. in Communication Design/Media Arts, Stephanie also produces, directs and edits video, branding ERN as a leader in multimedia platforms.

Stephanie's work has been broadcast worldwide in an array of forums. She's produced for renowned presenters, including Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Apollo 13 Captain Jim Lovell, comedians Bill Cosby and Sinbad, Olympian Bruce Jenner, NFL Coach Lou Holtz, and many other motivational speakers & television personalities. While tackling the development of large corporate video departments, Stephanie's creative approach landed her in the hands of global giants RE/MAX Int’l and Prudential, producing a carefully crafted 14-week training DVD program used today worldwide.

Stephanie also partners with book publishers producing videos seen on bookshelves internationally, from Borders to Walmart. With award-winning BBC and National Geographic footage, these videos range from teaching children to read, international cuisine, wildlife conservation to humanitarian efforts. Stephanie also teamed with Habitat for Humanity filming and producing a documentary about the New Orleans’ rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Katrina.

Jason Masters - Editor/Engineer Jason joins ERN as a producer for multiple nationally syndicated radio shows. He started his career over 5-years ago with Benchmark Entertainment by producing Car and Driver Radio, Road and Track Radio and Cycle World Radio. Jason also worked as a producer for KOBI, Channel 5 News and was a producer and co-host for KMED in Medford Oregon. Currently, Jason engineers, produces and oversees live engineering for all ERN radio shows.

Daniel Rippstein - IT Manager - A lifelong technology addict, Daniel is a print-designer, web-designer, IT-manager and technical-consultant. Daniel started as an intern with Alan 7 years ago, but quickly advanced from there. With a passion for technology, Daniel is a student at ITT Technical Institute, pursuing a degree in Visual Communications - the art of marketing through various forms of visual media, including web, print, and animation.

Becky Vaughn-Masters - Office Manager Becky brings her experience in customer service and management to the ERN Corporate Office. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the office, Becky also assists in radio production, event coordinating, account maintenance, and social networking development.


Rebecca Masters - Production Assistant – Rebecca joined the ERN team as a production assistant. Her role is to aid in the production needs of daily operations. She is a valuable contributor who is able to adapt to the fast-paced, ever-changing schedules and needs of the show hosts. Rebecca also was honored with a film credit recently for her work with crafts services on an upcoming full-length feature film.

Michael MacDonald - Art Director – Prior to joining ERN, Michael started a career in advertising, design and illustration in Hawaii with AdCorp International, then worked as a Senior Designer for Time Management Products for At-A-Glance in upstate NY. He also spent 10 years with Living Epistles as VP of Creative Services. Michael's design experience includes: print graphics, web design, copy writing, packaging, photography, apparel and accessory graphics, screen printing, painting and illustration. He has been doing graphic design professionally since graduating from FIT in New York with a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising in 1986.

Brendon Massa - Producer/Engineer – Brendon joined the ERN team as a production assistant. His role is to aid in the production needs of daily operations. He is a valuable contributor who is hard working, and able to adapt to the fast-paced, ever-changing schedules and needs of others.
